Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

This policy explains what personal information is handled when you read ethersocial.org, why it is used and what you can do about it. The operator runs Ethersocial. We and us mean the operator.

Visit logs

The servers delivering Ethersocial pages record routine entries: IP address, request time, page asked for, browser and device type and referring page. We use them to keep the site online, spot errors and abuse, and see in broad terms which wallet, project and community coin articles are read. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure site.

Cookies and similar technology

Ethersocial may store a few small items in your browser only where a page needs them to show correctly. Nothing is in place to follow readers around the web. If the site ever adds analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking, this policy will be updated first.

Browser controls and opt-out signals

Settings in your browser let you clear stored items, use a private window or install a tracker-limiting extension. If it sends a do-not-track or global privacy control signal, we will honour it as an opt-out wherever the site’s tools can read it. Blocking some storage may change how features behave.

Emails and forms

When you write to [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you include. We use it to answer you, fix articles and keep a record, which is our legitimate interest in running a responsive publication and, for a question, your request. We do not sell messages or publish one without asking. As the site covers crypto wallets, never send recovery phrases, private keys or passwords; if one arrives we will delete it and advise you to move your funds.

Newsletters

If Ethersocial offers a newsletter or sign-up form, the details you enter are used only to deliver what you asked for, based on your consent. Each message explains how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask by email.

Third-party services

The site relies on outside providers, such as a hosting company and a network that delivers pages quickly. They may receive technical information about your visit so the service works. If the site ever adds embeds, such as a chart or social post about an Ethereum project, or analytics, ad or affiliate tools, those providers may also receive technical data under their own notices.

How long information is kept

Visit log entries are kept for a short, limited time, then erased or boiled down to anonymous counts. Emails are kept while useful for replying, correcting an article or meeting a legal duty, then deleted. Newsletter details, if any, last until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask what personal information we hold, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to certain uses, and receive a copy in a usable format. Email [email protected] and describe your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the period the law sets.

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on your consent, such as for a newsletter or optional browser storage, you can take it back at any time. The Cookie Policy page linked in the footer explains the steps for browser storage; for anything else, email us.

Complaints to a regulator

If you feel your information has been mishandled and we have not put it right, you may complain to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU, EEA or UK, or to the OAIC if you are in Australia. We would welcome the chance to resolve it first, but you need not.

Children

Ethersocial covers wallets, tokens and coins, subjects for adults, and ethersocial.org is not meant for anyone under 13. We do not set out to collect details from young people. If a child has emailed the site, a parent can write naming the message, and we will delete it and any reply.

Security

We use secure connections and limit who can open the inbox, plus other sensible measures for a small site. No internet system is perfectly safe, so we cannot guarantee information will never be exposed.

International transfers

Hosting and delivery providers may handle data in countries other than your own, where rules may differ. By using ethersocial.org you understand that technical data about your visit can cross borders.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this policy when the site or the law changes, for instance if tracking tools or embeds are added. The effective date shows when the current version began, and continued reading after an update means you accept it.

Raising a concern

Consent you have given can be withdrawn whenever you like, without affecting earlier use. The Cookie Policy page lists every cookie this site sets and explains how to change your choice. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
